Absolutely despise what Hamas and its allies stand for and their actions. But I've read somewhere that the IDF's success in suppressing Palestinian terrorists (at the expense of civilians around them) has created complacency in the Israeli government because it spared them the responsibility to find a political solution to end the apartheid against the wider Palestinian population.
