Education (the secular kind) is the best long term solution to stupidity, racism, xenophobia, anit-science attitudes and conspiracy theories... but defunding or crippling it may be an incentive for certain political parties because the products of an emasculated public education system produces ill informed and malignantly moronic voters who will keep them in power.
