For years I’ve thought the exact opposite when I couldn’t make it past a job application or get a woman I liked. It was always MY fault that they saw weakness and disqualifiers in me. I was shit. They were good. They had better options and I looked presumtuous and reckless for dropping my guard (with women). Sometimes I wonder if I take it too far, but then, I always felt responsible for not being exactly what they wanted.
