I have not heard anyone call women a pussy for cowardice — it’s always been used to describe men who weren’t measuring up to expected levels of fortitude. You are unfamiliar with my need to hold myself responsible for failing in these endeavours which is understandable.

You may be surrounded by friends who get the paramours they want and are already securely hooked up while you yourself may have gotten exactly who you wanted most of the time.

Only the former applies to me but every failure I have with great women is a symptom of my sheer incompetence at living life itself and feeds my fear of being left behind. Which is why I assure you that the shame and regret for letting my guard down is all too real and does not need an audience.

Lastly, you have proven my point that I have to ask myself if I am always going to be lumped in as a dangerous threat if I ever show any interest in anyone. I have tried so hard to fix myself but it has never been enough because every woman I encounter plays by a different set of rules that I won’t know until I’ve been burnt.
