I'm not a novelist but this is how I may describe a woman's feelings:
'When her suspicions of her husband's infidelity were proven from the smell of another woman's perfume on his clothes, the top of her head almost blew off like a T-72 tank turret struck by a Javelin missile.' or 'Todd's sincere expression of appreciation for Kaitlin's intelligence and kindness to him during his depression filled her heart with a surge of warm affection like black coffee on a Texas morning. Her adoring gaze focused on his eyes like the camera of a Reaper drone on a High Value Target as she finally realized he had grown on her like black mould in a tenement basement.'
Physical appearance: 'Jessica was perfectly slim like an AH-1F Huey Cobra attack helicopter. She wasn't just elegant though; her gentle voice gave comfort like the spall liners of a BTR-82A armoured personnel carrier.'
