I've taught myself to interpret any lack of a quick response as "she thinks you're not worth it" or "you're bothering her". I get lectured for overthinking and paranoia by both guys and girls but the few times I dared to suspend my caution, they just got worse and wishing I never allowed myself to be interested at all. Hell, I beat myself when women I don't want to date act like this.
