One of my worst failings is a risk averse inability to be confrontational or speak up, even when I’m right to do so. There’s always this hesitant fear of looking stupid and foolish for stepping out and being wrong if I misread the problem. That is definitely not something I can accept as a manly quality for myself. After all, a very macho quality respected by both men and women is leadership and taking control. (Although women can take charge without being less of a woman).
