Since I’ve never met any woman who’s my type (uncommon) and has any interest in me (never happened before), a friend has been urging me to go out with anyone even if I have zero interest in them, just for the ‘experience’ of being on a date.

I could never do that. Waste of my time and theirs. My overriding principle in choosing a woman (before sweating about being turned down with the casuality of a bug being crushed underfoot) is they have to be YAY (young* and yummy). I know I’m not much of a catch — but why force yourself to go out with someone who you don’t have any sense of buzz for?

*Minimum age 25 and not too close to my own.
