So… are cops, bank security guards and soldiers carrying firearms because they need to prop up their weak machismo? Should they go back to using swords and gallantly charge armed violent criminals to be real men?

If someone rushed you with a knife, would you have surrendered your masculinity for shooting him instead of fighting him on equal terms (with a knife, or just for a challenge, with jiujitsu?)

Should an old man (or woman) who’s gonna be robbed and beaten to death by weaponless mugger not use his firearm to scare him off because it would imply a lack of balls?

If you can talk someone out of violence or incapacitate him without using lethal force, good for you. But the world doesn’t always work like that.
